Alderius Rashad Morrow pleaded guilty May 4 and was given a 40-year term with 28 years suspended, leaving 12 years to serve, the District Attorney’s Office said.

The National Weather Service in Memphis said portions of the Mid-South are in a Slight (level 2 of 5) risk for severe storms on Tuesday and Wednesday, with threats of damaging winds, a few tornadoes and heavy rain.
