A new audit reveals the Mississippi Department of Education has not published federally required evaluations for afterschool programs, despite millions in grant funds flowing to nonprofits and districts.

The National Weather Service in Memphis warned of a wind advisory from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today for the Missouri Bootheel and parts of northeast Arkansas and urged residents to secure loose items.

The American Traffic Safety Services Association announced national award winners at Traffic Expo 2026, including WLBT anchor Courtney Ann Jackson for coverage of transportation legislation and roadway safety, the association said.
