Humanities Teacher of the Year presentation rescheduled for Feb. 9
Due to canceled classes, the Humanities Teacher of the Year presentation by Dr. Jason Beghtol has been rescheduled for Monday, Feb. 9, at 6 p.m. in Hines Auditorium, according to the Cultural Arts Committee.
The committee selected Beghtol as this year’s recipient. His presentation is titled “Preserving our Musical Moment: New Works and New Possibilities for the Bass Trombone.”
The event will feature the world premiere of “Ambush of the Night Watch” by Derek Taylor, followed by a reception. The original date for the performance was Feb. 3, but it was postponed due to the class cancellations.
Officials encourage attendees to mark their calendars and hope to see a large crowd at the rescheduled event.
