NEMCC to Reopen Feb. 2 After Weeklong Closure

NorthEast Mississippi Community College will remain closed through the rest of the week and reopen on Monday, Feb. 2, according to school officials.

Dormitory students may return to campus. They are asked to check in with their dorm proctor upon arrival and complete a dorm information form to confirm their safety, a college spokesperson said.

Current cafeteria hours are from 8 to 9 a.m. for breakfast, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for lunch, and 4 to 5 p.m. for dinner, officials added.

The Burgess Fitness Center remains open to students and community members. College officials urged everyone to continue practicing safety measures and look out for one another, referring to students as Tigers.
