Northeast hosts ‘Harmonies of Hope’ concert for Black History Month

Northeast will host a special concert titled “Harmonies of Hope: Celebrating Excellence in African American Artistry” to mark Black History Month. The event features performances by the school’s music students and fine arts faculty, highlighting compositions by African American musicians such as William Grant Still and Florence B. Price.

The concert is scheduled for Feb. 25 at 1:35 p.m. in the Hines Hall Auditorium. Attendees can expect an afternoon of music, culture, and celebration as the school honors the legacy and impact of African American artistry.

Organizers emphasize that the event aims to showcase the rich contributions of African American composers and performers through a powerful selection of musical works.
