Forecasters said above-normal temperatures will persist into Saturday, with a cold front moving in that could bring a high chance of showers and thunderstorms.
The front is expected to provide only limited relief from ongoing drought conditions, forecasters said.
Much cooler weather is forecast for Sunday through Tuesday, forecasters added.
Temperatures are then expected to warm slightly above normal for the remainder of next week, forecasters said.
