Cold front to bring increased rain chances in Lower Mississippi Valley

Rain chances will increase late tonight into Wednesday as a cold front advances through the Lower Mississippi Valley, according to the National Weather Service.

Most rainfall amounts are expected to be less than a quarter-inch, primarily east of the Mississippi River, forecasters said.

The weather pattern is expected to bring a temporary increase in moisture and potential showers to the region during this period.

No significant weather hazards have been reported or are anticipated at this time.
