The Mississippi Department of Public Safety has issued a public thank-you to law enforcement, first responders, frontline workers, and volunteers who assisted during Winter Storm 2026.
The storm affected most of North Mississippi, prompting significant response efforts. Department officials acknowledged the contributions of those involved and emphasized that their efforts did not go unnoticed.
Officials encouraged continued cooperation and support as the region recovers from the storm’s impact. The department expressed appreciation for the dedication of all personnel involved in the response.
