Mississippi Emergency Management Agency officials are accompanying Gov. Tate Reeves as he surveys the damage caused by recent winter storms.
The officials and the governor are reviewing affected areas to evaluate the extent of the damage and to coordinate response efforts, according to sources familiar with the tour.
Further details on the damage and recovery plans are expected to be released as assessments continue.
