Tupelo woman charged with burglary after home break-in
Authorities in Tupelo have arrested a woman in connection with a burglary on Boggan Drive. Officers responded to the scene on Jan. 8 after the property owner reported an acquaintance had forced entry and stolen an item.
Following an investigation, police arrested 31-year-old Alexus I. Sykes of Tupelo on March 19. She faces a charge of burglary of a dwelling, according to records.
Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Weir ordered Sykes held on a $5,000 bond on March 20. The case will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury for review, authorities said.
