Gusty southwest winds are expected to bring a brief warm-up to the Mid-South, with temperatures rising into the upper 40s and 50s, according to weather officials.
However, the warm spell will be short-lived. A cold front is forecast to move through the region, bringing significantly cooler temperatures for the weekend.
Residents are advised to prepare for the change in weather as temperatures drop and winter-like conditions arrive.
