Analysts rerank Mississippi’s Class of 2016

Brian Hadad and Carlo Barone reranked Mississippi’s high school Class of 2016 and said the class was led by three elite players, but also contained hidden gems and several big misses.

In their analysis, Hadad and Barone revisited recruiting evaluations and compiled a new top 10 for the class, according to their write-up. They described the exercise as a look back at how prospects panned out relative to initial expectations.

Hadad and Barone identified unexpected standouts among the group and pointed to players who did not meet early projections, the analysts wrote. They said those shifts illustrate the inherent uncertainty in high school recruiting.

Hadad and Barone said their re-ranking is intended to provide perspective for coaches, recruiters and fans as they assess the longer-term outcomes of the 2016 cycle.
