This is part of an ogoing crisis at Mississippi jails.
Deaths have been reported at the South Mississippi Correctional Facility, Central Mississippi, Parchman and Chickasaw County.
Injuries have been reported at other facilities.
The worst has been ongoing at Parchman, where multiple deaths and fires have been reported.
The most recent reported killing was 36-year-old Dennoris Howell who was stabbed to death at Parchman on Friday.
