A Circuit Court judge in Aberdeen sentenced Jerrod Marquis Lucas to an additional 15 years in prison, with the new term to begin after he completes a current 20-year sentence, the First Circuit District Attorney’s Office said Sept. 17, 2026.
The office’s Facebook post said Lucas pleaded guilty Sept. 17, 2026 to the sale of cocaine in one case and to possession of cocaine with intent to distribute in a separate case. Circuit Court Judge Kelly Mims imposed the additional 15-year sentence.
The post said Lucas is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence on a reduced charge of possession of cocaine and that the new sentence will begin upon completion of that term. Assistant District Attorney Nebra Porter prosecuted the cases on behalf of the State of Mississippi.
The First Circuit District Attorney’s Office’s release commended the work of the Aberdeen Police Department and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics and was signed by Jason D. Herring, District Attorney, First Circuit Court District.
