Man struck, killed by Amtrak train in Biloxi

An unidentified man was struck and killed by an Amtrak train Wednesday morning while walking along tracks at Rodenberg Avenue, Biloxi police said.

The train was westbound and the incident prompted about a 30-minute travel delay, Biloxi police said.

Officials said the death was the fourth train-related fatality in Mississippi since Amtrak launched its Mardi Gras service between New Orleans and Mobile, Ala., in August 2025. In late September, Mississippi officials said two people were killed in a collision in Pass Christian. Less than two months later, authorities said a man was ejected from his vehicle and died after being struck by a train in Gautier.

The Biloxi incident remains under investigation, Biloxi police said.
