Mississippi sees large hail storm hit East Central MS as storm system threat moves north

A large hail storm hit east Mississippi as part of a severe weather threat that has been ongoing for most of Mississippi on Wednesday. The severe threat covered a large swath of the state.

Mississippi Weather Network took the following video of the storm as it hit near Meridian.

The system had confirmed hail in Scott, Newton, Neshoba, Clarke, and Lauderdale county.

The same storm also went tornado warned as it moved into Choctaw County, Alabama.

The Mississippi Weather Network warns those in North Missisisppi, especially in Tippah County and other areas with enhanced risks, to watch this system closely.
