This website will be updated periodically as new information becomes available.
From Southern Furniture Industries:
Southern Furniture Industries (Southern Motion, Inc. and Fusion Furniture, Inc.) would like to provide additional information to give clarity to our associates regarding the employee that tested positive for COVID-19. We were informed of the employee’s positive test confirmation early afternoon on Saturday, March 21st. The employee works at Fusion Furniture, Plant one, in the sewing department. Thursday, March 19th, was the employee’s last working day at the facility. We have been taking every necessary precaution and following every protocol, including daily sanitizing and disinfecting that is being performed several times a day throughout all key areas of the building.
In an effort, to get our associates as much information as possible, we are providing links to the United States Centers for Disease Control & Prevention and the Mississippi State Department of Health’s websites. These websites inform people of actions to take regarding the COVID-19 virus. Please use these links below to educate yourselves and your families.
In order to properly assess the situation and to protect the health and safety of all of our associates, we made the decision to shut down operations on Monday, March 23rd at all Southern Furniture Industries’ locations (Southern Motion, Fusion Furniture, Cushions to Go, Recline Design, and Premier Foam). The production schedule for the upcoming week, along with other important updates will be provided on Monday, March 23.
Our leadership team is working nonstop to coordinate and communicate updates with our associates’ health and safety being the number one priority.
