NAACP Mississippi hosts ‘Burger and Polls’ voter registration event in Columbus

The NAACP Mississippi State Conference partnered with Burger Man to host a voter-registration event called “Burger and Polls” at Propst Park in Columbus on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2026, offering attendees a chance to register to vote and learn about the importance of voting, WCBI reported.

The event was scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. and run until 7 p.m., with organizers saying the first 20 people could taste-test four special burgers prepared by Burger Man, WCBI reported.

WCBI reported that Mississippi’s general election is Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026, and that the deadline to register to vote is 30 days before the election — this year, Oct. 5, 2026.
