Our Lady Academy defeated PCS to capture the Class 3A South State volleyball championship and will face Kossuth at Mississippi College on Friday at 10 a.m., WXXV News 25 reported Oct. 13, 2026.
WXXV described a close opening set that was tied 6-6 before Madeline Piazza recorded a block that shifted momentum to the Lady Crescents. Krissi Pavoloni and Lola Haas then delivered kills that pushed OLA ahead, and Taylor Henley finished a Pavoloni set to extend the lead.
WXXV reported Kaylin Kinniburgh and Leah Laporte combined on another kill, Pavoloni served an ace after PCS had trouble with a second touch, and Piazza added a block with Kinniburgh as OLA closed out the set 25-17.
According to WXXV, the Lady Crescents carried that momentum through the match to win the South State crown and advance to the Class 3A state championship match against Kossuth.
