Trustmark Park to Host Special Target Golf Event
With Minor League Baseball not taking place in 2020, many parks were left with no events and a lot of space unused due to cancellations from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Trustmark Park will look to change that trend just a bit.
For two Thursdays in October, the park will be transformed into a temporary target golf course, which is sponsored by Edwin Watts Golf. These two public events will take place on October 8 and 15.
The event will feature a unique nine-hole target course with elevated tee boxes on a platform beneath the park’s scoreboard. Prices are set at only $25 per golfer and $100 for a group of five. Golfers will also be provided a hot dog and beverage with fee of admission.Players will only be permitted to use a pitching wedge.
Some set rules are:
Players are only allowed to use a pitching wedge.
Players *MUST* provide their own clubs.
Players are asked to arrive 10 minutes before their tee time at the outfield entrance on the north side of Trustmark Park to check-in.
Players that wish to play with family members or friends are asked to book consecutive tee times while observing social distancing.
