Tupelo Walmart employee arrested on alleged $11,000 embezzlement
Tupelo police said Thursday that a Walmart employee was arrested on allegations she embezzled more than $11,000.
Officers responded to the Walmart Neighborhood Market at 316 S. Gloster St. on July 15 after a report about an employee, the department said.
Following its investigation, the department said, officers took Alle Whitaker, 32, of Mantachie, into custody. Whitaker was charged with felony embezzlement, and a municipal court judge set her bond at $4,000 before the charge is presented to a grand jury, police said.
Police said no further information about the case was immediately available.
