Two clubs host Jackson back-to-school drive
JACKSON, Miss. — The Rare Breed Motorcycle Club and the Rare Ladies Social Club hosted a back-to-school supply drive to help local families prepare for the new school year, WJTV reported.
Organizers said the event provided more than traditional classroom supplies. They said volunteers offered free haircuts, hot meals and family activities in addition to school items.
Organizers told WJTV that those services were as important as backpacks and notebooks for getting students ready to return to class.
The drive took place in Jackson and was aimed at supporting local families, organizers said.
