Two men hospitalized after Jackson shooting on Sunset Drive, police say

Two men were hospitalized with multiple gunshot wounds after a shooting on Sunset Drive in Jackson, police said.

Detective Tommie Brown with the Jackson Police Department told WJTV officers responded at approximately 10:32 a.m. on Sept. 6, 2026, to an apartment complex in the 3500 block of Sunset Drive.

Brown said both victims were taken to a hospital. She identified the information to WJTV.

The Jackson Police Department is investigating the shooting, Brown told WJTV. No further details were provided in the report.
