Jones County volunteer firefighters responded to a fire at Frank’s Sawmill on Oil Well Road in Ovett about 3 p.m. Aug. 7, 2026, the Jones County Fire Council said.
The council told WHLT that two large wood piles were burning out of control, according to the Jones County Fire Council.
WHLT reported on the response but did not immediately provide further details on injuries, damage or the cause of the fire.
The Jones County Fire Council provided information to WHLT about the incident.
