Bronson Reed returns, interferes in Breakker-Femi match at WWE event
Bronson Reed returned to WWE and intervened in a match between Bron Breakker and Oba Femi at Sunday Night’s Main Event, hitting Femi with a chair and altering the match’s course, OutKick reported.
Reed’s appearance marked his first in-ring action since suffering a biceps tear in February, OutKick wrote. Reed struck Femi with multiple chair shots and used top-rope tsunamis, then allowed Breakker to follow with spears, according to the report.
The match itself featured intense back-and-forth action. OutKick described Femi delivering a slap on the apron, a big boot and several European uppercuts, while Breakker responded with a German suplex, a flying elbow drop and a pair of spears. Austin Theory attempted a distraction but was slammed through the announcer table, the account said.
OutKick said Reed and Breakker were the two men standing at the end of the segment. The outlet added that both Breakker and Femi are being presented as potential cornerstones for WWE’s future, based on the company’s recent on-screen booking.
