The USS Abraham Lincoln left Thailand on Sunday after a five-day port visit, according to the U.S. Navy. The aircraft carrier also completed an extended deployment in the Middle East.
In a Sunday statement, Navy Capt. Dan Keeler, the Lincoln’s commanding officer, expressed appreciation for the hospitality shown by the Thai people. He credited the visit with strengthening U.S.-Thailand naval relations.
The vessel’s departure marks the end of its current mission in the region, as it heads back to the United States. No additional details about the deployment or future plans were provided.
