An archival CBS News ‘Sunday Morning’ report shows writer Ken Kesey riding a replica of his iconic psychedelic school bus in Oregon, CBS News says.
CBS News says the segment, originally broadcast Nov. 18, 1990, revisits Kesey’s 1964 cross-country road trip with his ‘Band of Merry Pranksters’ and follows Kesey — then a farmer in Oregon — as he rode a replica of the bus nearly three decades later.
The network says ‘Sunday Morning’ correspondent Bill Geist tagged along with other Merry Pranksters, young and old, for the story.
