Coast Guard helicopter crashes during Alaska training, injuring four

A Coast Guard helicopter crashed during a training flight in southeast Alaska on Monday, injuring four crew members, according to officials. The MH-60 Jayhawk went down outside Sitka, near Harbor Mountain, in a sparsely populated area.

Watch standers at the Arctic District command center received a report of the crash shortly after 10 a.m., the Coast Guard said. Rescue crews from Sitka Fire and Rescue responded around 11 a.m. and transported the injured crew members to Mt. Edgecumbe Medical Center for treatment. No fatalities were reported.
