Jay-Z to perform Super Bowl LXI halftime show at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood

Apple Music announced during halftime of Monday’s Dallas Cowboys-Philadelphia Eagles game that the music mogul will perform the Super Bowl LXI halftime show on Feb. 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, Fox News reported.

Apple Music posted on X, “GOAT’s out of the bag,” tagging Jay-Z, according to Fox News.

Fox News cited earlier reports that Puck News and OutKick said Jay-Z had been selected over Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber, and that TMZ reported Harry Styles was among the frontrunners.

Fox News also noted that Jay-Z and his entertainment company, Roc Nation, have helped produce and select performers for the Super Bowl halftime show since 2019. The outlet reported that Jay-Z wrapped up his Jay-Z 30 Tour with back-to-back shows at SoFi Stadium on Oct. 23 and 24, 2026.

Fox News listed additional background: Jay-Z is 56 years old, has won 25 Grammy Awards and was the first rapper inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. His last album, “4:44,” was released in 2017. The report added that Jay-Z has not previously performed at the Super Bowl; his wife, Beyoncé, headlined the halftime show in 2013 and returned in 2016.
