Jet fuel falls to lowest since Iran war, but airfares likely to stay high, experts say

Industry reports show the average price of jet fuel has fallen to its lowest level since the beginning of the war with Iran, the report said.

But aviation experts say the decline is unlikely to translate into lower airfares in the near term.

Experts told reporters that ticket prices typically lag changes in fuel costs and that airlines may not pass savings to passengers immediately.
