Judge allows DOJ to release Biden recordings to Heritage Foundation, orders three-week delay
A federal judge said Friday that the Justice Department can release audio recordings and transcripts of former President Joe Biden to the Heritage Foundation but must wait three weeks to allow an appeals court to review Biden’s challenge, the ruling said.
Judge Dabney Langhorne Friedrich denied Biden’s attempt to block the release of his decade-old conversations, the order said.
The materials are tied to a special counsel probe and were sought by the conservative Heritage Foundation, the ruling said.
Friedrich imposed a three-week stay to give an appeals court time to consider Biden’s challenge, the order said.
