Senate Democrats are calling for answers about conditions aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln, a carrier deployed in the Middle East. Democratic Sen. Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut said the ship has been at sea for 250 days and has not come ashore in more than 200 days, setting a record.
Blumenthal and other lawmakers have raised concerns about the ship’s conditions, prompting questions about the well-being of service members onboard. However, the Defense Department pushed back against reports of poor conditions aboard the vessel.
