Tom Brady dunks Rob Gronkowski into Raising Cane’s sauce at Fanatics Fest, owner says

Tom Brady hit a throw that sent Rob Gronkowski into a dunk tank filled with 500 gallons of Raising Cane’s sauce during the opening day of Fanatics Fest at the Javits Center, Raising Cane’s owner Todd Graves told Fox News Digital.

Graves said the idea came through the restaurant’s partnership with Fanatics. “Michael Ratner was like, ‘Let’s do a Cane’s Sauce dunk tank,’ ” Graves told Fox News Digital. “I was like, ‘Yes!’ And he was like, ‘Let’s do Brady dunking Gronk.’”

Fox News Digital reported that Brady and Gronkowski warmed up with a playful Hail Mary toss of chicken fingers into a sauce cup before Brady deliberately missed the target twice. On his third throw, Brady struck the mark and Gronkowski went into the sauce, drawing cheers from the crowd, Fox News Digital reported.

Graves said the stunt felt historic for the brand. He told Fox News Digital he never imagined such a moment when Raising Cane’s opened its first restaurant on Aug. 28, 1996. “Through growth, I have 100,000 crew members now, and we have 1,000 locations and we’re about to turn 30,” he said.

Speaking after the dunk, Graves said the event was a dream come true for the company and its employees. “For me to walk in here and see our logos up here and see people that want to come and be a part of Cane’s, it’s a dream come true,” he told Fox News Digital.
