Trump criticizes Democratic socialist candidate as ‘full of s—‘ and warns of communism’s threat

President Donald Trump sharply criticized Michigan Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed on Wednesday, calling him ‘full of s—‘ during a speech in Las Vegas. The president also accused Democrats of embracing communism, describing it as the greatest threat to the United States, surpassing historic events such as World Wars, Pearl Harbor, and 9/11.

El-Sayed, who narrowly won the Democratic primary over Rep. Haley Stevens, will face Republican Mike Rogers in November for the Senate seat being vacated by Sen. Gary Peters. The Associated Press called the primary race early Wednesday, noting El-Sayed’s victory by less than 1 percentage point.

Trump dedicated several minutes of his speech to attacking democratic socialist candidates, asserting that their policies threaten American freedoms. He pointed to Venezuela as an example of what he said happens under communist rule, citing squalor, crime, and economic collapse. The White House later amplified Trump’s warning on social media, stating, ‘Communism is the greatest threat to our country.’

He also mocked what he described as communist policies, suggesting they would lead to loss of homes, poverty, and misery. Trump emphasized his stance against socialism, recalling his 2019 State of the Union address, where he declared that America would never become a socialist country. He warned that Democrats aim to move beyond socialism directly to communism.

In closing, Trump pledged to defeat what he called the Democrat Party’s leftward shift, vowing, ‘Together we will defeat communism, socialism and Marxism in America once and for all.’ Neither the White House nor El-Sayed’s campaign immediately responded to requests for comment, according to Fox News Digital.
