New Mexico sues Justice Department for unredacted Epstein files

New Mexico Attorney General Raúl Torrez sued the Justice Department seeking unredacted files related to Jeffrey Epstein’s possible crimes at the Zorro Ranch, according to a court filing.

In the filing, Torrez accused Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche and other Justice Department leaders of “stonewalling” New Mexico’s inquiry into Epstein’s possible crimes in the state, the document said.

The suit names officials in the Trump administration’s Justice Department and asks a court to compel the release of the unredacted records, the filing said.

The filing says the records are needed to complete the state’s investigation, and it details the department’s refusal to provide the materials in full, according to the court document.
