Waters presses Treasury Secretary Bessent over Trump administration AI policy
Rep. Maxine Waters pressed Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on Sept. 15, 2026, over the Trump administration’s policy on artificial intelligence during his appearance before the House Financial Services Committee, The Hill reported.
The Hill reported that Waters said President Trump is “blindly” pushing for the development of AI models and data centers.
