A Mississippi licensed insurance producer has been issued a cease and desist order after he has been accused of writing policies but not forwarding the premium to the insurance company, according to a press release from the MID.
The Mississippi insurance department issued the order against Brand Insurance Services, a licensed insurance producer. James Michael Brand is the agent for that producer.
He surrendered his license last month.
If you have done business with this producer, who also did business as Gulf Coast Insurance, you should contact the MID at 1-800-562-2957 to see if your insurance premium was paid.
