Ministry Already Open After Soft Launch

According to the ministry’s grand opening flyer, Clothed in Grace has already held a successful soft opening. The Nov. 5 event is its official welcome, with the ministry inviting the Ripley Main Street Association, the city and its church to celebrate. The flyer describes the effort as an “Initiative 13” ministry.

A ministry representative commenting on Ripley Main Street’s post said the group is “so excited to help with the clothing needs of our community.”

Meeting Clothing Needs in Tippah County

Church-run clothing ministries help families stretch their budgets, especially heading into colder weather and the holiday season, when coats, school clothes and other essentials can add up quickly. The grand opening also adds another stop for shoppers in Ripley during a busy stretch of downtown events, which includes the Spirit of Ripley festival on Oct. 30 and Ripley Main Street’s Holiday Open House on Nov. 1.

How Residents Can Get Involved

Community members who want to support the new ministry can:

  • Attend the Nov. 5 reception to meet volunteers and learn about the ministry’s work.
  • Stop by during the 2–6 p.m. shopping hours.
  • Share the announcement with neighbors and families who may benefit.
  • Reach out to FBC Ripley to ask about volunteering or donating.

Details about regular hours and how to donate clothing were not included in the announcement. Residents with questions can contact FBC Ripley or follow Ripley Main Street on Facebook for updates.
