BOONEVILLE, Miss. — The Booneville Police Department is investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that happened early Wednesday morning.
According to police, the incident occurred around 2:20 a.m. on July 8, 2026, on West Chambers Drive near Jim Drewery Road. Investigators said a bicyclist was struck by a vehicle, and the driver left the scene after the crash.
The bicyclist suffered fatal injuries.
The investigation remains ongoing, and police are asking for help from the public. Anyone who witnessed the crash or has information that may assist investigators is asked to contact the Booneville Police Department at 662-728-5611.

Police said even the smallest piece of information could be important to the investigation.
