Forecasters warn of slight risk for severe storms overnight

Forecasters warned the area has been upgraded to a Slight Risk (level 2 of 5) for severe thunderstorms on Thursday night.

The threat is expected from 10 p.m. Thursday to 7 a.m. Friday, forecasters said.

Forecasters said the primary threat is damaging wind gusts, with gusts up to 60 mph possible.

Because the threat is overnight, forecasters urged residents to prepare before going to sleep.
