Information released on deadly shooting at Ripley church

Information from local law enforcement has been released concerning the deadly shooting that occured at a small church in Ripley on Sunday.

At approximately 11:30 a.m. Tippah County Constable Keith Bullock used his firearm at the West Ripley Church of Christ after a man, Patrick Sanders of Dumas, appeared with what has been alleged to be a knife.

Bullock was treated for minor injuries at TIppah County Hospital while Sanders was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigations as well as local law enforcement is involved in the investigation of the case.
