Troy Eaton, accused of shooting and killing State trooper Josh Smith of Walnut, shouted “it was self defense” to WTVA tv cameras after being arraigned on Monday. He was charged with one count of capital murder and one count of attempted murder.
Eaton is being held in Tippah county without bond after bail was denied according to the Tippah county jail.
