Sheriff asks for information after man found murdered at his home in Tippah County

The sheriffs department asks for information related to the death of Kirby Carpenter in Tippah County.

From the TCSO:

On December 2, 2022 the Tippah County Sheriffs Department received a call at an address on County Road 600 Booneville Mississippi which is in Tippah County’s Dry Creek Community, a man was discovered with a gun shot wound at that location. The man was identified as Kirby Carpenter from Tippah County.

Investigators from the Tippah County Sheriffs Department along with the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation was called to the scene. This is a current and ongoing investigation at this time and no arrest have been made as of Tuesday December 6th 2022.

When further details are available for release the Tippah County Sheriffs Department will issue another press release. If anyone has information regarding the death of Mr. Carpenter, please contact the Tippah County Sheriffs Department or Crimestoppers to leave Tips. We appreciate the abundance of help from the community of the Dry  Creek/Pine Grove area and also the citizens of Tippah county, who have went out of their way to help with this investigation.
