Residents concerned about serial arsonist after 6th factory fire this year

A furniture factory fire at American Furniture in Pontotoc, the 2nd at that plant this year and the 6th overall fire event that has taken place at North Mississippi factories this year has several local residents concerned there could be a serial arsonist on the loose.

The fire that occured at Washington furniture, also in Pontotoc, last month was officially ruled arson. A $15,000 reward is offered for information in that case.

Social media is full of posts of citizens concerned that this could be the work of a serial arsonist. No word yet on the cause of the American Furniture fire, although the proximity and time interval between the fires does raise suspicions.
