Ripley resident arrested on grand larceny charges

A Ripley resident has been arrested on grand larceny charges after he was caught with a stolen truck and stolen ATV. He brought a stolen truck in to Prentiss County and stole an ATV there.

From the Prentiss County Sheriffs Department:

On June 25, 2018, Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department received a report of stolen ATV on County Road 6381. Deputies arrived at the residence to find a white Ford truck parked in the driveway that had been reported stolen out of Ripley. The suspect Robert Kennedy Jr 38 of Ripley had pulled up into the residence in the stolen vehicle, abandoned it, and stole the ATV. He has been charged with Grand Larceny. Kennedy was arrested several days later in Tippah County and is currently being housed in Tippah County Jail. After further investigation with the help of Tippah, Benton and Marshall County Sheriff’s Department the ATV was recovered in Marshall County. Once Kennedy is transferred to Prentiss County his bond will be set. Investigator Wesley Graves is handling the case and will present it to the next Grand Jury.
