Significant weather advisory issued for parts of Tippah County

A significant weather advisory has been issued for parts of Tippah County by the NWS.

From the NWS:

AT 618 PM CST...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM PRODUCING PEA SIZE HAIL OR
LARGER WAS LOCATED NEAR JUMPERTOWN, OR 8 MILES WEST OF BOONEVILLE,
MOVING NORTHEAST AT 50 MPH.

VERY HEAVY RAIN IS ALSO POSSIBLE WITH THIS THUNDERSTORM.

PEOPLE IN SOUTHEASTERN TIPPAH...NORTHERN TISHOMINGO...ALCORN AND
NORTHERN PRENTISS COUNTIES SHOULD MONITOR THIS STORM CLOSELY.
