Tippah County Crime Stoppers Seek Help in False Pretense Scam Case

According to a report from Local Source, Tippah County Crime Stoppers and the Ripley Police Department are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect involved in a false pretense scam that occurred on September 25, 2019.

The individual in the attached photos used a common scheme known as a “Quick Change” scam to deceive a cashier at a local department store in Ripley. This type of scam typically involves the suspect attempting to exchange or manipulate cash transactions to defraud the store.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the suspect’s identity or whereabouts to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-773-TIPS (8477). Sharing tips could help bring the suspect to justice and prevent further scams in Tippah County. Additional details about the incident were not immediately available.
