Tippah Schools dismissing early due to threat of severe weather

Tippah County schools are dismissing early due to the threat of severe weather on Wednesday, March 30th.

As of 10:30, South Tippah released the following:

Due to expected severe weather moving through the area, all South Tippah schools will dismiss today, Wednesday, March 30th, at 1:45 PM.

This includes Ripley, Pine Grove and Blue Mountain.

From North Tippah:

North Tippah will be releasing early at 1:45 today due to possible straight line winds ahead of storm front.

This includes Falkner, Walnut and Chalybeate.

We will update once more information is available.

Storm should move in to area between 2-3, with it worsening into the evening.
