On Wednesday, June 26, 2024, officers served an arrest warrant at a residence on Alcorn Drive and took Tyler Mixon, 24, of Vicksburg into custody. Mixon was sought for his involement in an aggravated assault that occured on December 2023. Appearing before Judge Angela Carpenter in VIcksburg Municipal Court on Thursday, June 27, 2024, on charges of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a felon, Mixon recieved a $325,000 bon and was bound over to the Warren County Grand Jury.
Man Arrested for Felony Drug Possession
Ramon Harris, 24, of Vicksburg was arrested on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, following a traffic stop on Indiana Avenue after officers found oxycodone pills inside the vehicle. Harris was charges with possesion of a controlled substance. He appeared before Judge Angela Carpenter in Vicksburg Municipal Court on Thursday, June 2, 2024, and was bound over to the Warren County Grand Jury on a $20,000 bond.
Two DUI Arrestees Apear in Municipal Court
Samuel Roby, 52, of Vicksburg was arrested following a traffic stop on Sherman Avenue on Friday, June 21, 2024, on a charge of driving under the influence, 4th offense. Roby appeared in Vicksburg Municiple Court on Thursday, June 27, 2024, wheree Judge Angela Carpenter bound him to the Warren County Grand Jury on a $75,000 bond.
Hugh Norfort, 59, was taken into custody Saturday, June 22, 2024, after the vehicle he was driving was stopped on Clay Street. Norfort was charged with driving under the influence, 3rd offense. He appeared in Vicksburg Municipal Court on Thursday, June 27, 2024, and was bound ove rto the Warren County Grand Jury on a $50,000 bond.
