North MS man arrested on meth, child abuse charges

A north Mississippi man was arrested earlier this month on possession of a controlled substance and child abuse charges. Another man at the residence was arrested on drug charges, according to the agency.

From the Prentiss County Sheriff’s office:

“On Sunday November the 4th Prentiss County Deputies responded to a potential disturbance at a residence on CR 1221. While investigating the report, Deputies Taylor Walker and Tyler Reese discovered that individuals at the scene were in possession of Controlled Substances. Deputies arrested Jeffery Lee Bridges 44 and Christopher Shaquille Taylor 29 both of Booneville. Bridges was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), and Child Abuse X2 and Possession of Paraphernalia. Bridges bond was set at $25,000 on the Felonies and $1,000 on the Misdemeanor. Taylor was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance (Oxycodone) and his bond was set at $2,500 Deputies Gary Garrett and Dallas Lumpkin assisted with the case. Narcotics Investigator Grady Smith will present the case to the next Prentiss County Grand Jury.”
